Job Description:
Responsible for the planning, organizing and executing all daily, weekly and seasonal events.  
Position Requirements/Skills:
  • Proven self-motivation, ability to work well with minimum supervision
  • Experience planning and delivering events
  • Excellent organization, time management and communication skills
  • Must have a high level of attention to detail
  • Work well within a diverse team environment
  • Flexible availability: including evenings, early mornings, weekends and statutory holidays
  • Driver’s License
 Duration: Mid November to mid April
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Planning, executing and teardown of all events handled by Guest Services including daily, weekly and seasonal events
  • Create and deliver weekly event programing – enhancing existing events including: Family Après Ski, Bingo, Carnival, Minute to Win It, Games Night, Bonfire & Hot Chocolate, church services
  • Deliver Seasonal Events including: Cruz the Blues, Christmas festivities (light up and parade), New Year’s Festivities, Australia Day, Valentine’s Day, Hawaii Week, Big Reds, Big Whites, etc.
  • Order supplies and prizing needed to host events
  • Maintain and control prizing inventory
  • Work closely with all departments to ensure seamless delivery of events
  • Ensure promotion of events through all available media channels
  • Ensure event information on the Big White website is current, accurate and engaging
  • Work with graphic designer to design and create event posters and marketing collateral
  • Ensure sponsors are represented and receiving contractual exposure at all events
  • Set up and maintain all audio equipment for all events, groups and mountain requirements
  • Create new engaging events
  • Assist other departments as required
  • Communicate effectively with all departments regarding guest experience
  • Work cooperatively as a member of the Guest Service Team
  • Comply with all department and company policies, and procedures
  • Perform other tasks, as assigned by management
  • Uphold the highest standard of internal and external customer service at all times
Physical Demands:
  • Must be able to sit and stand for the duration of the shift
  • Ability to lift and carry
  • Must be able to kneel, bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill duties
  • Requires grasping, using tools, writing, standing, sitting, repetitive motions, listening and hearing ability, and visual acuity
