Job Description: To provide guests with exemplary customer service whilst ensuring that they are served in an efficient and courteous manner. Also to correctly charge customers, collect payment and making change. Must have the ability to handle high amounts of cash and operate cash register.
Position Requirements/Skills:         
  • Required to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays and may be required to work overtime
  • To work under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Report for work on time
  • Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the correct uniform/foot wear and name tag while working
  • Greet all guests in a professional and friendly manner
  • Set up self-serve area in cafeteria and assist support in maintaining the condiment stations
  • Liaise with the kitchen about the daily special/Soups and update signage and find a Manager to update prices as needed
  • Ask all customers if they have a season pass and apply appropriate discount
  • Be aware of customers around you (i.e. not sure where to find utensils/condiments)
  • Have a good knowledge of menu items and add-ons to be consistent in charging customers accordingly
  • Responsible for keeping the cafeteria area clean, tidy, and presentable at all times
  • High Knowledge of POS systems (Squirrel & Moneris)
  • Knowledge of SWP and SJP and WHIMS
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Follow opening, closing and daily on-going procedures and checklist
  • Be alert and ensure that there is no theft or suspicious activities
  • Keep excellent communication between all team members (i.e. let kitchen know when things are running low)
  • Submit a complete and balanced cash out at the end of each shift
  • Knowledge of different payment methods and how to settle correctly
  • Ensure you always have adequate change in your float before busy periods
Physical Demands:
  • Spend significant portion of time spent standing
  • Lift up to 50 lbs/23 kg multiple times a day
